University launches new catering program
January 5, 2022
Beginning Jan. 12, the University intends to launch America to Go, which transforms the process of catering on-campus restaurant orders. When University Housing is not available, individuals will now only have the option of utilizing ATG to order and process catering requests.
ATG is a catering management company which connects users such as the University to a network of approved caterers and restaurants.
In an effort to accommodate all needs of the University, ATG created an iBuy punchout Catalog, which is an “easy-to-use website that provides all Chart 1 Departments autonomy when ordering food for on-campus meeting and events,” according to a press release.
Besides establishing a website that consolidates all orders and requests, ATG ensures caterers abide by requirements by reviewing health and insurance information. ATG additionally provides 24/7 customer service, specific filters to discover caterers, options from small businesses, sustainable practices and in-person taste tests for departments.
At the moment, ATG has not finalized caterers and encourages individuals to submit catering requests for restaurants they would like ATG to include. Caterers that have already agreed to work with ATG will be “featured in tastings and communications this spring,” according to a press release.
