A 32-year-old man was shot in his left leg on Saturday at the 700 block of Sherwood Terrace, according to a police report by the Champaign Police Department.

Police were called at 2:03 a.m. on Saturday and attended to the man until emergency personnel arrived. The injury was not life-threatening, and the victim elected to drive to the hospital in his own vehicle, the report said.

Earlier that night, the victim said he got into an argument with the person who shot him, according to the report.

The report also stated police are currently searching for witnesses and video footage to help the investigation.
