Starting today, the City of Champaign is accepting applications to fill an opening in the District 3 Council Member office.
Former Council Member Daniel Iniguez resigned from his District 3 City Council seat on May 14. Illinois law requires this vacancy to be filled by July 13.

As of January, the City Council has adopted a new district map and revised the City Council district boundaries. Applicants are advised to consider the map on their website and enter their address to confirm their residency in District 3.
Applications are available on the City’s website and from the city clerk. Completed applications must be submitted to the city clerk by 12 p.m. on June 3. Applications can be submitted via email at [email protected] or in person at the city clerk’s office located at the Champaign City Building, 102 N. Neil St.
