Illinois Athletics has announced that they are partnering with the Busey Bank to host the Busey Movie Night at Memorial Stadium on August 10. The movie will be family-friendly and decided by an online vote. Illinois Football players will be at the stadium for autographs and pictures prior to the screening.
The films on the ballot are Dreamworks’ “Kung Fu Panda 4”, John Krasinki’s “IF”, “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire”, the fifth installment in the Ghostbusters series and “Wonka”, a film about the early days of Willy Wonka. The voting will end on July 28 and can be accessed on the Fighting Illini website.
The movie night begins at 7 p.m. and will be free to attend. Football players will be signing autographs and taking photos from approximately 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., according to the announcement.
Illinois Athletics has said that outside food and drink, as well as chairs, will not be allowed into the stadium and that food trucks and concession stands will be selling various food and beverages.
