The University encourages students to advocate for themselves, which means using emergency numbers in situations where such action is warranted. Individuals that choose to consume alcohol should take into account that it weakens their ability to react, so consumption in responsible amounts is recommended, the email said.
The email ended with various links to University resources available for students and community members.
