An arrest was made on the charges of retail theft at Aldi, 801 Interstate Dr., around 7 p.m. Monday. According to the report, the suspect stole merchandise from the business.

An arrest was made on the charges of possession of controlled substances in the 2200 block of Rodney Drive, around 3 p.m. Monday. According to the report, the offender was wanted for an outstanding arrest warrant. After being arrested, a substance suspected to be cocaine was found on him.

Theft and credit card fraud was reported at Meijer, 2401 N. Prospect Ave., around 11 a.m. Monday. According to the report, the victim’s wallet was stolen by an unknown offender who then used a credit card from the wallet to attempt a purchase.

Urbana

Violation of parole, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, and possession of stolen property was reported at Clark Lindsey Village, 101 W. Windsor Rd., around 3 p.m. Monday. According to the report, police initially responded to a verbal domestic dispute. The offender and victim are in a dating relationship. The offender, who is a convicted felon and currently on parole, was found to be in possession of a firearm and a stolen motor vehicle.

Possession of drug paraphernalia was reported at Circle K, in the 500 block of W. University Ave., around 11 a.m. Monday. According to the report, the offender had hypodermic needles in his possession that he had recently used to inject heroin. The offender was issued a State of Illinois notice to appear and was then released.

Animal cruelty was reported at Meijer, 2500 block of Philo Rd., around 11 a.m. Thursday. According to the report, an adult male miniature pincher was left in the offender’s vehicle for an extended period without proper ventilation. The dog was transported to the vet before being released to his owner, who was given a notice to appear for animal cruelty.
