Champaign
Theft was reported in the 400 block of East Eureka Street around 1 p.m. Thursday. According to the report, items totaling around $45,000 were stolen over a three-year period from the victim’s residence. Cosmetics, food items, a handgun, electronic equipment and keys were among the items stolen.
Theft was reported in the 500 block of East John Street around 1:30 p.m. Thursday. According to the report, the victim’s package was removed from below the mailboxes. The offender took the items from the package and left the empty package under another stairwell.
Burglary from a motor vehicle and credit card fraud was reported in the 1600 block of West University Avenue around 8 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, the victim’s car was burglarized. Credit cards, a purse, identification items and other merchandise were reported stolen.
University
An arrest was made on the charges of theft and deceptive practices in the 400 block of East Chalmers Street around 9:30 a.m. Sunday. According to the report, the suspect was identified as the offender who made unauthorized purchases using another student’s identification card in April and May at a cafe in Urbana.
Theft was reported at Grange Grove, 1402 S. First St., on Saturday. According to the report, the victim’s wallet, with an estimated value of $550, was taken while the victim was in a large crowd.

Unauthorized charges were reported around 2 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, the victim’s credit card was charged with a transaction of $507.95 in Austin, Texas, despite the victim having possession of the card at the time.
Urbana
Criminal damage to property was reported in the 1300 block of North Lincoln Avenue around 11 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, the victim’s gas tank was filled with candy and sugar and all four tires of the victim’s car were slashed.
An arrest was made on the charges of forgery and attempted theft at Steak and Shake, 2009 Kenyon Road, around 8 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, the suspect stole a checkbook from someone who was staying at the victim’s apartment for a few days. The suspect then used the checks at the victim’s business, even though the business does not accept checks. The suspect was also reported to have used the victim’s checks and i-card at another department store.
Domestic dispute was reported in the 1600 block of Ivanhoe Way around 7 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, the offender and victim are brothers and live together. The offender and victim got into a verbal argument in which the offender demanded money from the victim.
