The Champaign Police Department is seeking help from the public to solve a case involving the recent shootings that killed two and injured four.
The first two shootings happened on July 20, resulting in two people being shot and a third person fleeing the scene.
The first shooting was near Main and Freemont Street, where a woman was fleeing away from the gunfire.
The second shooting was near Colleen Drive almost two hours later, where two teenagers were shot at the scene, but are currently in recovery. The CPD is currently looking further into the incidents.
Authorities have identified the shooter as a Black man who was wearing a mask and a gray hoodie. No images of the suspect are available at this time, according to WCIA.

A third shooting happened on Sunday morning, where the suspect opened fire near the intersection of Cynthia and Anita Drive. Four victims were shot, two of whom were pronounced dead later that day. The other two were injured, but are in stable condition at the hospital. The CPD are currently investigating the situation.
