Aggravated battery was reported on the 100 block of Kenwood Road around 1:43 p.m. on Wednesday. According to the report, the victim was stabbed. There is currently no information on the subject.
Theft over $500 was reported on the 1100 block of North Walnut Street around 6:14 p.m. on Tuesday. According to the report, the male victim reported his cell phone was stolen by an acquaintance.
Burglary and criminal damage to property were reported on the 2000 block of West Springfield Avenue around 2:21 p.m. on Tuesday. According to the report, the subject forcibly attempted to gain access to Dollar General after hours. After damaging the door, he left the scene without making entry.
University
Theft over $500 was reported at the Transportation and Automotive Services Facility, 1701 South Oak St., on Wednesday. According to the report, a University employee claimed four catalytic converters were stolen from four University vehicles parked at the location between March 1 and Monday. The estimated value of the stolen items is $8,723.
Urbana
Deceptive practices were reported on the 3000 block of Rutherford Drive around 4:12 p.m. on Tuesday. According to the report, the unknown offender used deceptive practices online to steal $257.33 from the victim. There are no suspects at this time.

Identity theft was reported on the 200 block of West Pennsylvania Avenue around 1:59 p.m. on Tuesday. According to the report, the unknown offender opened a credit card account in the victim’s name and made multiple fraudulent purchases using the victim’s identity.
Deceptive practices were reported on the 300 block of East Iowa State Avenue around 1:12 p.m. on Tuesday. According to the report, the unknown offender pretended to be the victim’s employer in order to gain access to multiple gift card numbers from her.
