Theft $500 and under was reported at Scott Hall, 202 East Peabody Drive, between Oct. 15 and Thursday. According to the report, a student’s bicycle was locked to a rack when it was stolen. The estimated value of the bicycle is $200.
Criminal damage to property was reported at the Main Library, 1408 West Gregory Drive, on Oct. 23. According to the report, an unknown offender spray painted a grafiti message on the sign of the building. The estimated cost for removal of the paint is $100.
An offender was issued a state of Illinois notice to appear in court for theft on the 2900 block of West Kirby Avenue around 12:16 p.m. on Thursday. According to the report, the offender was accused of stealing a $350 bicycle from the Activities and Recreation Center on Sept. 25.
Urbana
Deceptive practices were reported on the 1700 block of Wilson Road around 6:11 p.m. on Sunday. According to the report, the offender used a gift card scam to gain control over the victim’s currency.

Battery and unlawful use of weapons were reported on the 500 block of Crystal Lake Drive around 5:20 p.m. on Saturday. According to the report, the victim and offenders were intoxicated at a birthday party when they started fighting. The offender punched the victim in the head and tased him after the victim damaged a scooter.
Retail theft was reported on the 2000 block of North Lincoln Avenue around 5:10 p.m. on Sunday. According to the report, the offender left the victim’s business without paying for liquor.
