Aggravated battery was reported in the 1500 block of Hunter Street around noon on Sunday. According to the report, Carle Foundation Hospital called as a mandated reporter. The victim claimed he had an argument with his girlfriend but was  uncooperative and refused to provide details, along with providing false statements to police. The victim alleged he was struck in the hand with an axe. The girlfriend later called police to provide a statement but became uncooperative.
