An arrest was made on the charges of aggravated battery near Fourth and Green streets around 1:30 a.m. on Friday. According to the report, a police officer on patrol was flagged down by an apartment security guard who reported that the suspect had sprayed him with pepper spray. The altercation occurred as the security guard was trying to remove the suspect from the building because she was not a resident there and was reportedly spraying others with pepper spray.

Criminal damage to property was reported in the 1100 block of South Sixth Street on Friday. According to the report, a University student said someone used a sharp object to damage his vehicle while it was parked. An estimated cost to repair the damage was not available at the time of the report.
