Arrests were made on the charges of aggravated unlawful use of a firearm near Fourth Street and University Avenue around 11 p.m. on Saturday. According to the report, two individuals were passengers in a vehicle that initially was stopped because it was illegally parked in the roadway and blocking traffic. Upon approaching the vehicle, an officer smelled an odor of burnt cannabis. This prompted a search of the vehicle, and police found two loaded firearms.
