Fifteen polling locations across Champaign County will be closed on Election Day, Tuesday, due to election judge shortages.
Champaign County Clerk Aaron Ammons announced the closed locations:
- Activities and Recreation Center
- Bible Baptist Church
- Bresnan Meeting Center
- Douglass Center Annex
- East Bend Township Building
- Free Methodist Church
- Hays Center
- Hensley Town Hall
- Hessel Park Christian Reformed Church
- Life Vineyard Church
- Living Word Family Church
- Ludlow Township Office
- Philo Road Church of Christ
- Royal Community Building
- Stanton Township Building & Town Hall
Each of the locations will have signs guiding voters to the nearest polling location, the Champaign County Clerk’s office wrote in an email about the closures.
All open locations are universal voting sites, meaning any eligible voter can vote at any of the open polling locations, regardless of their home precinct.
