UI lessens quantity of testing sites, frequency of testing for summer
May 18, 2021
As the semester officially ends, the University is decreasing the number of testing sites around campus and requiring less frequent testing.
All students, staff and faculty who live in University Housing or are coming to campus for any reason are now required to test once a week instead of twice.
These individuals must continue testing regardless of being fully vaccinated.
Those who are not required to maintain a consistent testing schedule but are going to campus infrequently must have a recent negative on-campus test.
There are four on-campus testing locations this summer for current students, faculty and staff. The testing locations are Beckman Institute, CRCE, Illini Union and State Farm Center.

Beginning in the fall semester, the University will waive testing requirements for fully vaccinated individuals.
