The University’s chapter of Turning Point USA is hosting a free Q&A session at the Illini Union Wednesday night, featuring right-wing media personality Alex Stein.

Stein hosts “Prime Time with Alex Stein” — a YouTube series where Stein takes viewers on an “unscripted roller coaster ride that mocks political correctness and takes on the liberal world order with courage and humor.” Some videos on this channel with nearly 400,000 subscribers include “trolling” protestors and making shocking comments at New York City council meetings.
The comedian made headlines for yelling “abusive(,) sexist, misogynist, harassing and racist personal epithets” at United States Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY, on the steps of the U.S. Capitol, per a 2023 court filing. He proceeded to sue Ocasio-Cortez after she blocked Stein from her personal X account: a case with no public resolution as of March 2026.
The event is at 7 p.m. in Illini Room A as a part of the Turning Point’s “Pick Up the Mic” series. The initiative focuses on elevating collegiate chapter events that emphasize open dialogue and interactive Q&A sessions in memory of the late TPUSA founder, Charlie Kirk.
