The Chabad Midwest Regional Summit took place last weekend, where 40 rabbis from the Midwest assembled at the University for two days to tackle issues such as discrimination in Jewish communities.
Rabbi Dovid and Goldie Tiechtel of Chabad at the University hosted the summit, in which several discussions were held highlighting topics including community outreach, support for Jewish students and more.
“With the rise in antisemitism on campuses across the country, we felt it crucial to gather here,” said Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky of Chabad World Headquarters in a press release.
The summit was a learning experience for Chabad emissaries who were able to hear the experiences from veteran rabbis with subjects such as making connections through their line of work.
“We’re leaving better equipped to serve our communities and strengthen Jewish identity across the Midwest,” Rabbi Areyah Kaltmann said.
