The Service Employees International Union Local 73 building and food service workers reached an indefinite agreement with the University administration on Monday and plan to suspend their strike.
Union negotiators chose to recommend the tentative agreement on a new contract for ratification and plan on returning to work on Tuesday.
“The tentative agreement is consistent with our mutual goal of providing attractive wages in line with the market and making our campus a desirable place to work,” said Robin Kaler, associate chancellor of strategic communications and marketing at the University in an email statement.
