Two armed robberies Saturday in Urbana being investigated

Two armed robberies occurred near different apartment complexes on North Lincoln Avenue within minutes of each other on Saturday evening, Urbana police are investigating.

The first robbery was reported at 6:18 p.m. at an apartment complex at the 1600 block of North Lincoln Ave., when two unknown offenders robbed a 19-year-old female at gun point, according to the police report.

The second robbery was reported at 6:32 p.m. at another apartment complex at the 1900 block of North Lincoln Ave. According to the report, again two unknown offenders with guns robbed a 21-year-old man and stole his wallet.

Urbana police have not located the suspects.
