Letter: A commonsense approach

Just in time for the school year, Sen. Christine Radogno visited the U of I campus and spoke about the issue of credit card use among students. She told students that if she were elected Illinois State Treasurer she would implement programs on campus to help college kids avoid getting into debt. As a fellow student, I know how easy and tempting it is to apply for a credit card when strapped for cash. Sen. Radogno assured us we can rest easy if she becomes state treasurer.

I was very impressed with Sen. Radogno and her common sense approach to government and financial issues. For once, a politician actually released a policy initiative that helps people without costing the taxpayers an arm and a leg. Sen. Radogno’s ideas to help people with everyday issues made me realize that a lot of politicians and elected officials have overlooked the needs of everyday people facing everyday problems. There is no doubt in my mind that Sen. Radogno has what it takes to get this state back on track.

Simply put, Sen. Radogno has the experience to effectively lead Illinois and run the state treasurer’s office. She has my vote.
