After spending two years at Illinois State, Marcus Arnold will transfer to Illinois, where he will become a member of Bruce Weber’s basketball team.

Illinois advanced to the Sweet 16 during Weber’s first season leading the Illini.

Arnold was named captain of the Missouri Valley Conference’s Most Improved Team and earned honorable mention All-Valley honors. During Arnold’s freshman season he was named to the 2003 Missouri Valley All-Newcomer Team.

Arnold will sit out next year because of NCAA transfer student regulations.
