Q: What’s your favorite non-golf sport to play?
A: Basketball. I am pretty good at it; I have a good jump shot
Q: What’s the luckiest shot you’ve ever hit?
A: I don’t like to call any of the shots I hit luck. For me, it’s all skill.
Q: If you could play a round with anyone at any course, who would it be and where would you play?
A: I would play with Jack Nicklaus at the St. Andrews, the old course.
Q: When was your last hole in one?
A: Three summers ago at Pontiac Elks in Pontiac, Ill.
Q: If you could have any professional golfer’s short game, who’s would it be?
A: Tiger Woods, his short game is sick. He has a great imagination, and he’s clutch.
Q: What’s the closest you’ve ever come to a double eagle?
A: One time I lipped out my second shot from the fairway on a par 5, I’ve been pretty close a few times though.
Q: What are post-college plans?
A: I plan on playing professional golf. I believe that I can do it, and I’m going to give it a try.
Q: Deep rough or fairway bunker?
A: Fairway bunker.
Q: How old were you when you hit your first golf shot?
A: I started playing when I was just three-years-old.
Q: You vs. Annika Sorenstam, match-play, who wins, and final score?
A: I win, 5 and 4.
Q: What makes Illinois the best golf school to play at?
A: Illinois has a great atmosphere, a great coach and one of the best schedules in the entire country. They are looked at as a high-class golf team. Illinois gets a lot of respect from other schools and people who are involved in golf, plus we usually contend with the top teams.
Q: What are your final predictions about the year?
A: I think that my lowest score of the year will be 58, I’m guessing the rest of the guys will say 59, so I’m going to try and do one better than them. I also think that Illinois is going to get a big win this year, let’s go with it at the NCAA Championships.
