Big Ten/ACC Challenge set
The Maryland basketball team will head to Assembly Hall to face Illinois in the eighth-annual Big Ten/ACC Challenge this fall. The Illini will host the Terps on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 6 p.m. central time.
The featured game of this round will be a rematch of last year’s Duke at Indiana game, which was the highest-rated and most-viewed game in Big Ten/ACC Challenge history.
This year’s 11-game event will kick off with Michigan playing at N.C. State on Monday, Nov. 27. Tuesday’s games will be Maryland at Illinois, Florida State at Wisconsin, Penn State at Georgia Tech, Indiana at Duke and Miami at Northwestern. The Challenge wraps up Wednesday with Michigan State at Boston College, Virginia at Purdue, Iowa at Virginia Tech, Ohio State at North Carolina and Clemson at Minnesota.
All games of the three-day event will be telecast on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU.

Illinois last faced Maryland on Nov. 27, 2001, in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. The Terps beat the Illini 76-63 in that game, played in College Park, Md.
The Illini are 2-3 all-time against the Terps.
