CHICAGO – Chicago Cubs broadcaster and former All-Star third baseman Ron Santo remained hospitalized Sunday while undergoing tests for an irregular heartbeat.

Santo was admitted to the hospital Saturday night. His return to the radio booth is undetermined.

Santo, 67, was a nine-time All-Star and five-time Gold Glove winner for the Cubs.

Diagnosed with Type I diabetes when he was 18, both legs were amputated below the knee in recent years. He also had a heart bypass procedure in 2000, and four years ago he was diagnosed with tumors in his bladder.
