Pruitt, a third team All-Big Ten selection last season, says he is doing this to learn of his status but is excited for the opportunity to play at the next level.

“I’m going to try as hard as I can, you never know, anything can happen,” Pruitt said. “So, if it does happen it would be a dream come true. If not, it’s going to get me ready and better for next season.”

Pruitt has until the June 18 deadline to withdraw his name if he wishes to return to school, but he says that his decision will come before June 11, the start of Summer Session two of the University’s summer semester.
