The Illinois soccer team bounced back from a scoreless tie on Friday to defeat Wisconsin 3-0 on Sunday.

The Illini (8-4-1, 3-2-1 Big Ten) battled back and forth with the Badgers (5-7-1, 1-4-0 Big Ten) for almost the entire first half before scoring in the final minute before the break. On a restart following a Wisconsin foul, freshman defender Danielle Kot sent a serve into the box that was headed in by senior defender Kara Gostisha giving Illinois a 1-0 lead before the half.

Forward Charlotte Cooke brought the Illini up two late in the second half with her first goal of the season, a breakaway score in the 80th minute. Midfielder Cory Steigerwald scored her third goal in as many games just two minutes later.

The Illini will play their last home game next Friday against Indiana.
