Hockey team earns first place ranking

After a sweep of Penn State, the Illinois hockey club earned the top spot in the latest American Collegiate Hockey Association Division I rankings.
The Illini received 44 of 49 first-place votes in the poll and moved past the previously top-ranked Nittany Lion Icers, who fell to No. 2 in the poll. Illinois was last ranked No. 1 in February.
The undefeated Illini will face No. 6 Lindenwood in St. Charles, Missouri tonight.
