The Illinois men’s tennis team defeated Northwestern, 7-0, on Saturday.

Marc Spicijaric bested Northwestern Alexander Thams, 6-2, 6-2, to lead the way for the Illini, and sophomore Billy Heiser improved his record in singles to 11-4 and secured the victory for Illinois with his defeat of Peter Rispoli, 6-1, 6-3. Ryan Rowe won his fifth singles match out of his last six by overcoming Northwestern’s Alex Sanborn.

The Illini will take on No. 45 Wisconsin in Madison, Wisc., tomorrow at noon.
