The men’s cross country team continued a great start to the season as it finished in second place behind Malone College in the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational on Saturday.

Freshman Jim Riddle led the Illini as he earned a sixth-place finish, with junior Jeremy Stevens just behind him in seventh-place. Of the Illini’s top seven finishers, Stevens was the only runner who wasn’t a freshman.
