The Illini hockey team continued their dominance on Saturday night, stomping No. 11-ranked Oakland University by a score of 12-3 to complete a weekend sweep.

Matt Jennings started the scoring early, and the Illini didn’t stop there. Jennings and Jason Nemeth each notched hat tricks, and captain Jordan Pringle had a rare four-goal performance.

Tempers flared in a second period that saw fights and play stopped countless timed after the whistle.

The Illini take their physical play, as well as a perfect 4-0-0 record on the road to face Kent State next weekend in their first conference games.
