It did not take long for Illini hockey to rebound from its first loss in almost two years.

Led by two goals from senior forward Johnny Liang, No. 1 Illinois capped a weekend sweep of visiting Robert Morris college with a 6-0 shutout Saturday night.

The game started slowly for Illinois, who struggled early on against a packed-in Eagles defense, before junior Matt Jennings opened the scoring with 4:58 left in the first period.

Illinois now looks toward a home series against University of Michigan-Dearborn beginning Nov. 14.
