Vontae Davis, junor quarterback for Illinois, made his way onto the Thorpe Award Semifinal List for the second year in a row Tuesday afternoon.

“The award, named after Oklahoma born Native American sports legend Jim Thorpe, is presented annually to the defensive back who best exhibits performance on the field, athletic ability and character,” according to a press release.

The winner of the award will be announced on Thursday, Dec. 11.
