Senior defender Emily Zurrer continues to collect awards for her efforts on the backline. Both Soccer Buzz and Top Drawer Soccer named Zurrer to Team of the Week honors following her performance in Illinois’ 1-0 win against Purdue. Zurrer scored the lone goal in the game and helped to post the Illini’s seventh shutout of the year.

The tally for Zurrer now stands at eight awards on the season.

Zurrer and Illinois will begin their Big Ten Tournament schedule Thursday as the fifth-seeded Illini take on No. 4 Michigan State.
