Is Illinois for real this year? Weber’s squad is on its way to shutting up all the doubters if they can hold onto this lead in East Lansing. The Illini’s ability to transform into a different team (and still succeed) is what has me so surprised so far this season. Tisdale, after dominating Michigan earlier this week, has been non-existent today. But I guess it doesn’t matter.Illinois has a seven-point lead against the No. 7 team in the nation.

Illinois’ bigs aren’t impressing anyone today, but Brock and Legion have stepped up big this afternoon. It will be interesting to see whether the fans stick to heckling the refs, or if they will concentrate more on distracting the Illini.
