Six days ago, the Illinois men’s tennis team won 6-1 against a higher-ranked opponent. Friday, the Illini were bested by the same margin against No. 5 Virginia in Charlottesville, Va.

The Cavaliers swept all three doubles matches and five of six singles matches in the rout. Junior Marek Czerwinski notched the lone victory for the Orange and Blue, who fall to 3-1 on the season. Virginia is now 2-0 on the young season.
