The No. 17 Illinois women’s gymnastics team lost its meet against No. 13 Missouri on Friday night.

The Illini set the school vault record with a score of 49.175. Senior Marijka Botterman and freshman Allison Buckley led the way for Illinois on the vault, tying for the crown. Sophomore Melissa Fernandez won the beam title with a score of 9.925. Sophomore Sarah Schmidt tied for second on bars and floor, with a 9.875 on each event.

Buckley and junior Nicole Cowart were the top all-around competitors for the Illini.

llinois returns home Sunday, Feb. 15, against No. 18 Ohio State in the “Pink Meet” at 2 p.m. at Huff Hall.
