Illinois is set to depart this weekend for Ames, Iowa to compete in the Iowa State Classic. Overall the team struggled last weekend in the Husker Invitational, but there were a few major performances. Cam Viney finished the 60-meter hurdles in 7.82, good for the third-best time in the event in program history, while in the high jump, Jonathan Wells claimed the event title with a mark of 2.19 meters. Wells’ performance moved him into the top-10 collegiately for the event and centimeters away from matching the previous school record.
