The Illini Union is located at 1401 W. Green St., Urbana. Late night Tuesday, an attempted robbery took place right outside the front entrance. Two suspects were arrested Wednesday.

The Illini Union is adding a pretzel chain to its menu of restaurants. Aunt Annie’s is joining the mix for its second location in Champaign.

A press release says the new eatery was the top snack request by Illinois students.
The local community is holding a public forum to address racial disparity in the justice system. This is the second such meeting in the last three days.
Illinois is moving its La Casa Cultural murals to a conservation in Chicago. Construction began last Wednesday on the mural, but they still can be viewed in Champaign or online.
And in sports, the 2016 Olympic Trials is showing a couple of shades of orange. Two former Illini men’s gymnasts are competing in day 2 of the tryouts Saturday at 8 p.m. on NBC.
