Illinois announces football training camp schedule

As the fall semester approaches, Lovie Smith and his staff are preparing for the 2019 football season. The team announced Wednesday their training camp schedule would kick off on Aug. 2 with a media day set for Aug. 6 from noon-2 p.m. in Memorial Stadium beginning with a Smith press conference followed by player interviews and photos.

The following practices are open to the public.

Aug. 2: 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Campus Recreation Fields

Aug. 3: 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Campus Recreation Fields

Aug. 4: 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Campus Recreation Fields
