Five-star recruit Adam Miller has officially become an Illini after signing his National Letter of Intent Wednesday afternoon. The long-awaited signing was conducted via Instagram Live. Miller originally committed to Illinois on Nov. 21, at the Jordan store in Chicago.

The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 23.9 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.8 assists in his senior season at Morgan Park, a team that was a top Class 3A state finals contender before the season was canceled. Miller was recently named Illinois Mr. Basketball and the Gatorade Player of the Year in Illinois.

Miller’s signing solidifies Illinois with a top-15 2020 recruiting class in the nation. The class, which also includes four-star guard Andre Curbelo and three-star forward Coleman Hawkins, ranks second in the Big Ten behind Michigan.

Miller will help fill the holes of guards Ayo Dosunmu, who declared for the NBA Draft and Alan Griffin who announced his transfer to Syracuse. Miller will bring much-needed shooting talent and pure athleticism to the Illini in the fall.
