ZZ Clark, a guard in the Class of 2024, announced on Twitter on Monday that he has committed to Illinois.

Clark, a six-feet-one-inch guard, is the second 2024 pickup for the Illini, joining four-star forward and Chicago native Morez Johnson in that class.

The younger brother of Class of 2022 guard and Illinois signee Skyy Clark, ZZ Clark also held offers from Arizona State, Creighton, DePaul, Kansas, Tennessee State, Vanderbilt and Washington before ultimately committing to head coach Brad Underwood and the Illini.

He first picked up an offer from Illinois back in June, and he has made his decision to play in Champaign 10 months later.

Both ZZ and Skyy Clark took visits — ZZ’s was unofficial and Skyy’s was official — on Monday before ZZ made his decision.
