The Chicago Bears (3-2) got revenge on the Washington Commanders Monday night. Going into the game, the play that derailed Chicago’s season last year was on loop. Poetically, the game came down to the last second. Thanks to kicker Jake Moody, the Bears scored the game-winning field goal for their third win in a row.
This is the first time the team is over .500 since Nov. 10, 2024, after the loss to the New England Patriots last season. Chicago seems to be clicking and winning consecutive games. The team is slowly becoming a different Bears team than what has been seen in recent years.
Let’s take a look at the next few games and see how the Bears can win out. It seems doable despite Chicago having one of the hardest schedules in the league.
Week 7: vs New Orleans Saints
Chicago is going into this game as the favorite to win. This game could be a huge confidence boost to the team as long as the Bears play to their standard. Chicago tends to play to the level of its opponent and make the games closer than they should be.

The New Orleans Saints have been seen as a rebuilding team and a contender for the first overall pick of next year’s draft. Although they have a worse record than the Bears, the Saints can scare the Bears and steal a win if they stick around long enough in the game.
The Bears will have to strike first and strike hard — and run up the scoreboard as much as they can. This will allow the Bears’ offense to get more comfortable and confident with the playbook. Although the Bears are favored to win, they would probably be happier if it’s by at least two touchdowns.
Week 8: vs Baltimore Ravens
This will be the first test for the Bears’ defense for the season. The Baltimore Ravens, although having an underwhelming season, are still a threat to win the Super Bowl.
Earlier in the season, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson suffered a hamstring injury in the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. This will be Jackson’s first game back since that injury. Before, it would have been unfortunate if Jackson came back to play the Bears, but now this can be an advantage for them.
If the Bears can contain Lamar from rushing, that takes away one of their weapons. Since Jackson is coming back from a hamstring injury, there won’t be that much pop in his step when he goes off to run. Stopping the run game will be the priority in this game. Through this, they can start forcing turnovers as the Ravens are one of the worst passing teams in the league.
Week 9: vs Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals had the best passing offense last season, but this season they’ve taken a downward turn. Now that the Bengals are going through injury problems, and their star quarterback Joe Burrow is out for this game, this game is winnable.
Since Burrow’s injury, the Bengals have struggled on offense and to put points on the scoreboard. They recently traded for veteran quarterback Joe Flacco, but they have yet to win a game with him.
The Bears will be facing a defense that is known to be one of the worst in the league. With the high-powered offense, the Bears can potentially find it easy to get into the end zone through the run game.
Running back D’Andre Swift is becoming more and more comfortable since signing here in 2024. This can be a potential career game for Swift and help carry the Bears to another win, just like he did against the Commanders.
Week 10: vs New York Giants
The New York Giants are one of the younger teams in the league and are led by a rookie quarterback, Jaxson Dart. Dart so far has become a culture changer for the Giants franchise, but he is still a rookie.
There is much to learn when it comes to being a rookie quarterback. Stepping into the starting role in the first year makes it even harder. The Bears can take advantage of this and put more defensive pressure on Dart. If he makes those mistakes, it could give the Bears more opportunities to score points.
