The Big Ten announced its conference football schedules Tuesday evening. Following three-straight nonconference home games, the new-look Illini alternate between home and road games for the duration of their conference season.
Illinois begins its conference schedule facing perhaps its toughest opponent in Ohio State. The Buckeyes welcome the Illini on Sept. 26. Illinois returns home the next week to face Purdue in a second-straight rematch.
On Oct. 10, the Illini head to East Lansing to face Michigan State. The team takes its bye in Week 7.
Out of the bye, Oregon makes its first trip to Champaign since 1993 on Oct. 24. The Illini hit the road again the next week, traveling to Maryland for a contest on Oct. 31.
Illinois opens its November at home against Nebraska on Nov. 7. The team travels to the West Coast the next week to take on UCLA on Nov. 14.

Illinois wraps up its home season against Iowa on Nov. 21 and ends its regular season at Northwestern during rivalry week on Nov. 28.
To kick off its season, the team welcomes UAB on Sept. 5, hosts Duke for a rematch of last season’s contest on Nov. 12 and FCS Southern Illinois comes to town on Sept. 19.
