Following one of the strongest seasons in program history, three Illini — senior forward Sarah Foley, redshirt junior goalkeeper Izzy Lee and sophomore forward Cayla Jackson — earned spots on all-Big Ten teams.
Foley and Lee each grabbed spots on the second team, while Jackson claimed a place on the third.
Lee was in the spotlight all season. The goalkeeper led the Big Ten in saves (118) and shutouts (10) while appearing in all 20 games this year. Lee’s 118 saves stand as a new program record. The goalkeeper started the season on fire, allowing just one goal in the team’s first nine games.
Foley netted seven goals and three assists this season, good enough for 17 points. She ranked inside the conference top ten in goals and points. Her best game came in Illinois’ 6-0 win over Valparaiso, in which Foley netted her only career hat trick in a seven-point showing.
Jackson made a strong impression in her first season with the Illini. The Georgia transfer tallied an identical stat line to Foley, with seven goals and three assists. Jackson also had a strong game against Valparaiso, notching four points on a goal and two assists.
