Illinois volleyball (10-10, 5-5) is currently on a three-game win streak and is looking to extend it this week against the Indiana Hoosiers (16-7, 6-4). The match is the beginning of a three-game homestand for the Illini.
The Illini finished a two-game series on the East Coast beating Rutgers and Maryland. Senior outside hitter Raina Terry will look to keep up her hot streak, as her last match saw Terry put up 24 kills, four aces and seven digs as the Illini won in five sets against the Scarlet Knights.
Terry came into this game after multiple 20-plus kill games, with three of them coming in the last four matches. She ranks No. 3 nationally in attacks per set, putting up 12.95 attacks per set. She also has 5.28 points per set which puts her at No. 8 nationally.
Against Rutgers, the Ohio native added another double-double to her career total of 16. Fifth-year senior outside hitter Jessica Nunge tied her career-best in kills against Rutgers, putting up 17 kills in the match. Nunge also posted 44 attacks against the Scarlet Knights.
Indiana’s last timeout was also a five-setter, a win against Ohio State on Oct. 21. Graduate student middle blocker Kaley Rammelsberg put up 15 kills and 30 attacks against the Buckeyes.
