The Illini’s upset against the top-ranked Buckeyes is certainly the most exciting game I’ve covered and probably the most exciting sporting event I’ve attended.

A Saturday in Columbus, Ohio, with the Buckeyes atop the national polls is something every college football fan should witness. Prior to the game the stadium’s video screen was playing a live feed of the Michigan game. No joke. If the players weren’t looking ahead to the following week against Michigan, the fans definitely were.

The famed Script Ohio on Senior Day added to the pre-game excitement (if only Illinois had a marching band tradition the fans really got in touch with … never mind).

Watching Juice Williams lead the fourth quarter drive from the sideline and the subsequent Illini celebration is something I don’t think I’ll ever forget.
