I was pleased to read the article “Therapy provides hope for hard-to-transplant patients.” As president of the RSO Students for Organ Donation here on campus I am thrilled to see organ donation receiving some well-deserved attention. I am writing to inform the readers of a wonderful opportunity to help the organ donation cause. As of Jan. 1, 2006, organ donors need to re-register to be a legal organ donor. Signing the back of your license is no longer efficient. The good news is that you can take a minute and go to www.donatelifeillinois.org and register. Be sure to type in U of I so Students for Organ Donation will receive points in our statewide competition to register the most organ donors!
