Students from various religious denominations will meet on Sept. 13 to perform short prayers for “local and global peace,” and to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
The event, called “Prayer For Peace,” has been organized by the Intercultural Friendship Foundation. Members of Christianity, Islam and Judaism will meet on the second floor of the McKinley Presbyterian Church and Foundation, 809 S. Fifth St. in Champaign, from 5 to 5:30 p.m.
