The prestigious Moscow Festival Ballet will be performing a selection of famous pieces at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts.
Swan Lake and The Sleeping Beauty will be performed by the ballet, featuring many members of the professional companies from across Russia.
The artistic director, Sergei Radchenko, is one of the great principal dancers from the world famous Bloshoi Ballet, according to Bridget Lee-Calfas, the advertising and publicity director for Krannert.
Lee-Calfas said the selections are “very popular” and the Moscow Festival Ballet always presents classical works while at Krannert, including past performances of Giselle, Cinderella, and Coppelia.
“We strive to select from their repertoire each season, a nice balance of dramatic and more lighthearted choices so that audiences can experience the range of classical dance,” Lee-Calfas said in an email. “We find that these performances are all-ages friendly with appeal to both ballet aficionados and those experiencing it for the first time.”
