Amidst Connecticut women’s basketball coach Geno Auriemma’s comments about the need for change in women’s basketball, several coaches and players voiced their opinions on the subject.
Auriemma, as reported by ESPN, expressed concern with attendance across women’s basketball. His idea to increase excitement in the game would be lowering the rims by around seven inches to increase tip-ins and make lay-ups easier. Members of Illinois’ women’s basketball team, both coaches and players, voiced their opinions on the subject.
